Small errors have a big impact...

Sometimes, a small tiny error can shake the world... a small tiny error can put you up to the sky, and also can bring you down under the drain.....

It was a fine Friday, I could imagine the office was very happening with this hot topic that talking about me while I was at client's office.

After a while, I received a call from my dear Anne and 1st question was: did you put in your resignation letter? First thing that came into my mind was: What the hell? Who's so free to go and prank my dear Anne.. (my dear Anne is rather a simple gal that easily may be bullied). Well, I thought thats something really fun, and I didnt say No! Fine... she was mad, of course! that I did not inform her on such a big decision in my life.... After a while I called her back, to explain..... that I really did not submit any resignation whatsoever! I swear! She didnt want to believe me. She said someone has seen the black and white from practice operation in my firm, and the info came from HR!

Hmm... immediately, the bell rang in my mind...! Some shit hell is going on.... Further investigation, my exam mentor received a mail from practice operation and that mail clearly stated that I have resigned! I asked my exam mentor to forward me the mail, and there I got...! Really, my name appeared there as I have resigned! OH SHITTT! BIG CASE...!

Few things that came into my mind that time:
  • Is that a pure mistake made by any party whatsoever?
  • Is there some bastard really got nothing to do to send in my resignation letter and signed on behalf of me?

Most importantly,

  • Have I been excluded from my firm's payroll this month since the salary is coming out in a week's time?

Hell lots of things came into my mind..... Hence, I quickly sent a note to the practice operation to clarify that I HAVE NEVER SUBMIT MY RESIGNATION AND NEITHER I FORESEE MYSELF TO SUBMIT IT IN A NEAR FUTURE.......!

It was a short half an hour that I got the reply, but it was probably the longest half an hour in year 2008 that I have waited. Finally, she admitted it was a pure mistake made by her and she promised to take the initiative to clarify and will confirm with HR.... Well, if I dont get my salary by the month end as other colleagues in the firm, they are in a heaven that named T-R-O-U-B-L-E.

Phew.! Released.....! I do not want to lose my job at this point of time. Believe me, and I really meant it, I love my job.... At least I know, I'm being loved, I'm part of the firm that if I quit my job, there are many people will care..... **touched**

Welcome Datuk Shah Rukh Khan....

When I read the newspapers that one of the new Datuk was Shah Rukh Khan, I almost fell off the chair. On what basis / justification that Shah Rukh Khan, probably for his entire life, just has been to Malaysia, once and only once, can get a Datuk! If thats the case, I might have got Mr Datuk from many many countries that I have been to. I think, even Shah Rukh Khan will not be bothered whatever this Datuk is for, because I doubt it helps him in his Bollywood anyway...

Today, I continue to get some information from the newspaper. The question that was flying in my mind is now answered: Shah Rukh Khan had a movie shooting in Malaysia, and as such, he helped in promoting Malayisa tourism, and hence, he is now a Datuk. Well done! I totally agreed with one of the opposition leader's comment: How about the stars that came to Malaysia for Entrapment that shot in front of our beloved twin towers...? How about Jacky Chan that had a couple of movie shot in Malaysia...? How about many many other actors that came to Malaysia for so many other movies???

I have to say this, I definitely have no offence against any of the Datukship that have been given out. In fact, I do respect those Datuk (only those who I think they deserve to get..) like Datuk Lee Chong Wei, Datuk Michelle Yeoh, Datuk Jimmy Choo, Datuk Nicol David... etc etc. They did a very very good job for Malaysia, and SALUTE! They are Datuk!

But, those people sitting in parliment saying "Bocor setiap bulan" (meaning as leaking every month to express women's period......), those people saying "Chinese are immigrant in Malaysia", those people that said other people are BODOH (means stupid) during parliment meeting... are they Datuk? Or I should say, do they deserve?

At one point of time, Datuk is someone that really contributes to the country. Be it in sports, economy, politics, as long as they have contributed to Malaysia. I personally, have in mind that someone who deserves, but do not get. He is, Mr Zang Toi, a close family friend of mine, who is now a very famous fashion designer in New York. Do you all think that he should? Say, if he should not, then how about the passanger that travel to aerospace after spending billions of tax payers' money....? He spent our money, and still he is rewarded as Datuk? Good deal, isnt it?

Sometimes I really wonder, this Datuk is given out by the Royal, or by the government? I found a very interesting fact in Malaysia. As long as you are related to the dai ko (big brother) of our BN government, most likely you are a Datuk, regardless of your contribution. If you are from the ma zai of BN government, you will, still be eventually, become a Datuk if you get to hold some higher post in your party. Here comes the magic. Mr Lim KS, Mr Lim GE, Karpal S, Mr Tian C, Ms Teresa K, Ms Fong PK...? Dont you think they play an important role in our Malaysia's politic ("democracy!")? Despite being the opposition, for their contribution, dont you think they deserve?

At the end of the day, everyone will become a Datuk, after you have got a grandchildren. They too, will call you Datuk. Afterall, Datuk is nothing, it will come eventually. Its just a matter of time. You will just need to be a little bit patient.

If one day my name is Datuk Spinner, do you think it sounds cool?

Time waits for no man....

Today, is already the last day of my 1 week long holidays. I still remember I said "Im having my 1st day of a week long holiday..." is like just something yesterday! However, lets face the reality... After this 1 week long holiday, its time for me to get ready to get back to work!

The coming few months is gonna be tough, with the deadlines, bosses comments, the tonnes of work to be done... that Im sure nobody likes it...! But what to do? This is all my job, as an auditor, is all about. Work your life out for it! Anyway, Im still young. I still have such energy to be spent on working late nights, weekends, over the lunch and dinner, or even dreaming at night would also be thinking of those outstanding work to be completed....

Who on earth that sets weekends only 2 days and the other 5 days are called weekdays?! Why cant weekdays be 4 days?! I remember i heard some news saying US is implementing like 4 days week and 3 days weekend. But of course, that 4 days will have to work longer hours to compensate for that 1 day additional weekends. I, personally, do not mind on such arrangment. It saves my petrol, parking, time etc... and i will have that 1 day to go to bank, other offices, workshops etc to settle my daily MISC tasks... So when we are gonna have that?!

There are comments saying we, in Malaysia, is having too many days of public holidays. There are even comments saying we should cut down to improve the efficiency and productivity of the country economy. But what has the "efficiency and productivity" got to do with the working hours? Cut down the time you spent on drinking coffee, chit chatting in the pantry, reading newspapers, sleeping, hiding in deep corner, come back on time after lunch hours, work till 530pm sharp but not starting to pack while the clock shows 445pm....!

Im sure if this is implemented in everyday's work, we can afford to have even more holidays throughout the year..! Say... we can have SUMMER HOLIDAYS....! that we do not have to work for the whole year since the whole year in Malaysia is summer! (No! We have to go work during raining season because this is called monsoon season...!)

But we live in Malaysia.. this is what Malaysia is...! Work longer hours means EFFICIENT, PRODUCTION, and you are a good employee! Malaysia Boleh!

My celebrity friends...

I have been thinking quite hard for the past few minutes I have made the 1st post, on what should I write? Whats the interesting things that I could tell...? Finally I have got one.... there you go...
Can you believe it? A close friend of mine, appears on the big billboard, just right at the Golden Triangle of Bukit Bintang...! If you come from Times Square on your right, its at the junction when you are turning into Jalan Sultan Ismail to Sg Wang.

She is my colleague, she is a close friend of mine. We work together, we drink together, we eat together, we party together, we enjoyed together.... and she appears like a star at Golden Triangle! Im proud of her. I hope my small picture will appear there too!

Please do not ask me how much she has spent to make herself from "before" to "after"... do not ask me how much effort she has put in... do not ask me how much nice yummy food she has missed in her life.... because I know none of these answers....

But if you are interested to know more, I might be able to help you a little bit....

My 1st time...

It has been quite some time that I thought of: Its time for me to start a blog. I have got so many things to write, to tell, to share, to shoot people, to complain etc... but blogging seems to be too complicated and of course, i didnt take the initiative to start one...

Until today, finally, the journey begins. Thanks to Ms Ong LS. She isnt my sisters, isnt my cousins, but she is an old old friend of mine, since.... year..... 198X that I couldn't remember when we met. She somehow managed to convience me to start it, to write it...

I have actually no idea what should I write. Hence i asked her: What do you write usually? I told her im just bored whole day long, and she told me, YES! Bored whole day long is the topic that you will be writing...! Here comes my 1st post... Im just bored the whole day long.!
